Oh My God!….Batman!

Tag: Uncategorizedadmin @ 8:14 am

I just got out of a screening of The Dark Knight this morning and I’m still in shock. First of all, I HAVE to thank Mike W. over at Warner for calling me at 4am to get me in. It was well worth getting out of bed for. I remember watching Batman Begins a few years ago. I was hooked into the story the entire time, even after it ended I still wanted more. Chris Nolan has brought that same story telling technique into this film x999,999,999. The Joker was something completely different. Even after seeing the many trailers for the film, I was not thinking Heath Ledger would pull off the performance he did. There were many times I couldn’t wrap my head around who he was. I knew it was Ledger, but there was no characteristic of him left to tell that. I was not expecting the film to be over two hours, but thinking back, I would have sat there for another two hours. There is an entire world created in front of your eyes, but not a comic book styled one. Even though there are unbelievable things happening, it seems like it is possible. This probably has something to do with Nolan’s special effects. I understand he did as much of them live rather than CGI and I think every director should take note of that. The big joke was that I just watched Wanted over the weekend and Mike and the guys were asking me to compare the two films. Simply put, there is NOTHING that compares with The Dark Knight. I’m sure it will stay that way until The Nolan crew gets together for another instalment.

It’s Coldplay day!

Tag: Uncategorizedadmin @ 2:59 pm

Although these past few months have been extremely busy ones, I do occasionally set aside a day for fun. Today June 17, 2008 is Coldplay day. In honor of this occasion, I’ve only had a few hours of sleep and I have the CD and Vinyl. Now I need to get a record player to actually listen to all these Coldplay vinyls I have.Jimmy Dushku with Coldplay’s Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends

The morning after.

Tag: Uncategorizedadmin @ 7:54 am

Last night was interesting. Got to the debate AS they were shutting the doors, I was on my blackberry the whole time even though they told us to turn everything off, and to top it off the guy in the row in front of me had a huge gas problem. After the debate I rushed out to meet up with my parents at the Hyatt for the Texas Democratic debate viewing party and to hopefully meet Clinton and Obama. I met Clinton, although I didn’t have the chance to take pictures. As for obama, I don’t think he stopped for anyone. His security people were kicking people out of the room constantly, his press team took up most of the room so others had to leave, and he didn’t even stop for ANYONE. I love how he hasn’t even been elected yet and he’s forgotten about the people. Even Bush has stopped and talked to me on several occasions.

I did manage to get interviewed by Michael Barnes from the Austin American Statesman, so check out his blog here

Democratic Debate in Austin tonight.

Tag: Uncategorizedadmin @ 1:50 pm

I was sitting in Starbucks just a few hours ago in L.A. reading up on some political news. I have known about the democratic debates in Austin, Texas for a while now but I wasn’t planning on attending. They raffled of 200 tickets or something yesterday and apparently 43,000 people had requested to be in that lottery so I knew I couldn’t get in that way. My weekend starts on Thursday and I have nothing to do for the rest of the week so I decided to see if I could make a trip down there for the debates. Wait, I don’t have tickets though…..wrong! Once again Mr. David A. has proven to be the best at what he does. Although I don’t have an official ticket, I do have a clear way in and a great seat. This just goes to prove that if you want something, you can get it/do it.

Oh ya, my goal for the night is to get a picture with both Clinton and Obama. Let’s see if I can pull that off.

Scientology vs. Jimmy Dushku?

Tag: Uncategorizedadmin @ 7:47 am

I posted pics and the story about my experience at the scientology protest yesterday and apparently my pics made the front page of digg with over 3700+ diggs. I guess this put me in the “Book of S.P.’s” and raised some eyebrows. I logged onto my myspace this morning to see a bunch of friend requests and messages which normally isn’t a bad thing but only when it’s not creepy 40+ guys asking who you are and what you do for a living. WTF? I have some tips for you scientologists out there. If this is your method of extracting information, please modify it. It is very obvious when A.) There are 7 older guys asking the same questions. B.) Two of them didn’t even bother changing their religion on their profile from Scientology to something else.

Anon vs. Scientology vs. Jimmy Dushku?

Tag: Uncategorizedadmin @ 3:25 pm

I just got back home from the worldwide anon vs. scientology protest. I was purely there to see what would happen and to get some shots of it. I drove up the drag about 10 minutes before 11am and only saw four people halfway up the block from the church so I figured it wouldn’t be that great of a turn out. Despite my first glance prediction, I decided to park and check it out anyways. Soon after, I was proved completely wrong. It was a great turn out. It took me a few minutes to fit in with the rest of the crowd because a few people thought I was a scientologist. After taking a look at myself, I see why they thought that. I wasn’t wearing a mask and I guess I was dressed like I just walked out of Sunday morning xenu service. Even though I wasn’t there to take any sides, I was photographed multiple times by church members. I really don’t care about stuff like that because it would be kind of obvious if they even attempted to do something to me, but I thought it was interesting that they were doing that. Check out the pics below. Hope you enjoy them. Don’t forget to digg the pics: http://www.digg.com/world_news/Scientology_Raid_Austin_Texas

I’m in Austin

Tag: Uncategorizedadmin @ 7:18 am

Just got back to Austin to relax for a few days. It was nearly impossible to get a flight out of San Fran last night, but luckily Danny made a phone call and let me use his plane. I should also mention his jet has swivel seats. Most people who own their own private jet proudly talk about the whole thing, but not Danny. He makes it known that he had swivel seats installed in it.

Danny, incase you are reading this…..those seats are annoying!!!!
